Bridge Bidder

Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 16, 2026

The short version. We collect only what we need to run your bridge practice. We do not sell your information, we do not show ads, and we do not use tracking or advertising cookies. The text of your practice sessions is sent to Anthropic, which provides the AI tutor, and payments are handled by Stripe.

1. Who we are

BridgeBidder.com is operated by Dennis G. Douglas, a sole proprietor in Bend, Oregon, USA, doing business as BridgeBidder. We decide how your personal information is used (in some countries' terms, we are the "controller"). Contact: support@bridgebidder.com.

This policy is part of our Terms of Service.

3. Who processes it for us

We use a small number of companies to run the Service. They may handle your information only to provide their services to us.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect the Service or its users from fraud or abuse, or to a buyer if the business is ever sold (in which case this policy will continue to apply).

We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.

4. Cookies and browser storage

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. The practice page stores two small items in your own browser: your access key, so you stay signed in, and your sound on/off setting. You can clear them at any time through your browser's settings; you will then need to enter your key again.

5. How long we keep it

6. Young players

BridgeBidder is not for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Players aged 13 to 17 may use the Service with a parent's or guardian's permission, and the parent or guardian makes any purchases. If you believe a child under 13 has given us information, email us and we will delete it.

7. Your choices and rights

Wherever you live, you can email support@bridgebidder.com to:

We may need to confirm your identity first, usually by replying from the email address on your account. We will not treat you differently for using these rights.

If you live in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you also have the right to object to or restrict our use of your information, to receive it in a portable format, and to complain to your local data protection authority. Our legal bases are: performing our contract with you (running your account and sessions); our legitimate interests (keeping the Service secure, preventing abuse and improving it); your consent (the "notify me" list, which you can withdraw at any time); and legal obligations (tax records).

If you live in a U.S. state with a privacy law, such as California or Oregon, you have the rights described above, and we do not sell or share personal information for targeted advertising.

8. International transfers

BridgeBidder is run from the United States, and our providers process information in the United States and possibly other countries. If you use the Service from elsewhere, your information will be transferred to the United States, where privacy laws may differ from yours. Where the law requires, we rely on our providers' standard contractual safeguards for these transfers.

9. Security

We use reasonable safeguards, including encrypted (https) connections and limited access to our systems. No service can promise perfect security. If a breach affects your information, we will tell you as the law requires.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version. For material changes, we will email account holders at least 30 days before they take effect.
